Being new to recording my own songs on the computer, I purchased a heavy base mic stand and quality mic. Both absolutely superb for my level of work. However, I soon realised that to sing well, ok, better, I would have to stand up; good breathing and all that. On searching Amazon.co.uk, I came across this product. Great reviews, a great price, and so I bought it. Well, it was delivered way ahead of the date given me. Sadly, on unpacking it, I found no instructions, so had to use common sense when assembling it. Took me all of 15 minutes. I must say, it certainly looks the job! With instructions, it would have got a 5.

Great productReview date: 2010-08-10 Rating: 10 out of 10This is a great mic stand and at a good price. Very flexible and seems pretty durable. My only problem is the height. I'm 6ft2" and although it is tall enough it is only just. Personally I would like it to be a little taller.

It has an extremely sturdy base so no problems with balance and is reasonably lightweight so easy to move around. The arms are designed so that you can change the height very easily - I am 5'10" but find this stand is still tall enough for my height. The fastenings are very easy to turn, allowing you to change the arm lengths and height of the stand so that you can sit or stand as you record/perform. If you don't have a mic clip, you will need to buy one as it doesn't come with one - I suggest Microphone Stand Clip - Regular.
